The Survey Institute of Zimbabwe (SIZ) is the national professional body representing surveyors and geo-spatial engineering practitioners across the country.
Founded to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, SIZ exists to advance the practice of surveying, safeguard ethical conduct, and promote the use of geo-spatial knowledge in support of Zimbabwe’s sustainable development.

The functions of the Institute are guided by its Constitution and focus on:

Each discipline plays a vital role in national development, from land administration and infrastructure planning to mining operations and digital mapping.
The Institute is led by a Council, which is responsible for managing its affairs and ensuring alignment with its mission. The Council includes elected officers such as the President, Vice President, Executive Secretary, Treasurer, and representatives from each of the four core disciplines. Supporting committees focus on areas such as education, affiliations, and professional conduct.
